Export & Purchasing for non UK residents.
*As of May 2009 we will no longer be exporting female puppies to overseas breeders who need an export pedigree, this especially applies to females but not males as males can be used at stud and shown on their IKC registration and pedigree they do not need to be re registered to the country they live in most cases, the reason for this decision is because the IKC will not issue an export pedigree for our puppies due to them being born outside of Ireland (we are in England), if your country only needs a certified 3 or 4 generation FCI pedigree and not an export pedigree then it may be possible to obtain a female puppy or adult from us as IKC will allow us this.
Puppies to go as family pets and working dogs will continue to be available to overseas homes on limited registration, puppies and dogs to the USA will still be available as an export pedigree isn't a requirement for UKC/AKC registration .*

Please note new export guidelines issued by DEFRA as of 18/11/2005 only puppies over the age of 12 weeks old can be given the rabies vaccination for their EU pet passport & all puppies/dogs must wait 21 days after the 1st vaccine until they are able to be exported so this will take the puppy to approximately 16 weeks or 4 months old, so please be aware that it is a long process in order to get your new puppy to you safely. Puppies can travel with their owner to some EU countries without rabies vaccine if they are under 12 weeks old.

Some countries also still require an import permit for you to be able to import a dog so please check your countries updated requirements, if you are collecting your puppy in person & are from europe it must be collected before 12 weeks old so it can go into your country without rabies vaccination just a pet passport may be required.
All puppies going to USA do not need rabies vaccination & will be exported at 12 weeks or over

Deciding to import a puppy into your country can at first seem quite daunting & expensieve.
It can however be well worth it if you intend to show or breed & need new bloodlines.
Price of puppies varies, if it is just a pet you want & is under 6 months old the pup will be at pet price as WE DO NOT OFFER PUPPIES Guaranteed to qualify for Show or Breeding  ability/quality.
We just cannot lay high expectations of a pup being show/breeding quality when under 6 months of age.

Very few of our adults ever come up for sale, they are very much part of our family. If they do become available it is as retired dogs to UK homes only or to ethical breeders overseas who we fully check out.

We cannot guarentee your puppy will be accepted for registration in your country so please check you own KC requirements.  Some countries still have an Interim register where you can have a JRT assessed for registration.
JRT & PRT are 2 very different breeds & in all countries (except England which only registers PRT) they are both KC registered breeds.
Once you find out what you need i will then let you know which puppies/dogs would be suitable for you & let you know what paperwork will be applied to your puppy/dog.

*All our puppies as of 1st September 2007 will no longer be docked *

Prices for any extras if your pup is staying with us for longer than 8 weeks old.
Full Vaccination course given by our vet at 8 & 10 weeks old or 10 & 12 weeks old £45.
First vaccination only at 8 or 10 weeks old with 2nd one being done by your own vet £30.
Rabies vaccine for dogs/puppies over 12 weeks for export only £45.
Pet Passport EU countries only (n/a UK or Eire) with health check prior to export £55.
Eye examination of adult/puppy with KC/BVA vet before export  £48.00 per dog (2013 fee).
Microchipping is done FREE by myself.
Vari 100 crate for export of puppies or very small juveniles/adults £40-£45.
Vari 200 crate for export of adult £50-£60.
FTF certificate USA only £30.
I do not charge for the extra feeding or care of the dog/pup unless it goes over 1 month of extra time.

All expenses for export & flights are to be paid by you the buyer & can vary in price depending on which country you are in or which company/airlines you use.

Our nearest airports are Manchester, Newcastle & Glasgow.
Most pups/dogs we have exported leave from Manchester.
If the dog has to fly via Heathrow,London, then it will be at your expense the costs of flying the puppy/dog from Manchester to Heathrow & then onto its final destination, we do not take puppies/dogs to Heathrow as it is just too far for a dog to travel by car & then go straight onto a flight with no break in between.

All paperwork is done by ourselves & our vets.
EU countries require a pet passport for dogs leaving the UK but not returning to UK, this can take up to 3 weeks to get, the pup/dog also requires normal vaccinations, sometimes a primary rabies vaccination 21 days before export, a FTF certificate & has to be microchipped.
Unaccompanied pups/dogs travel in the cargo holding area of the aeroplane & are in a dark heated & pressurised area in a special airline approved crate.
Most airlines require puppies to be at least 12 weeks old before they can fly if unaccompanied.
If you come over to collect your puppy please note that some airlines will still require that the dog stays in the cargo hold not in the cabin with you.

Please, please make sure of your countries importation guidelines prior to reserving/collecting your new puppy as guidelines can be changed so quickly & the updates are not filtered through to vets with the same quick response, this is primarily your responsibility to notify me of the up to date procedure for importing a dog to your country as DEFRA in england do not always issue up to date guidelines for your country to english vets. Once a puppy is taken from our home it can rarely be returned due to risk of infection which may have been picked up (when with you at another home or elsewhere if you have indeed came over to collect the puppy from us) to our other puppies if they have yet to be vaccinated.

Certain airlines such as KLM listed below however do allow the dog if under 5KG to sit in the cabin with you if it is a short flight back to your country. This you must enquire about yourself if you are to pick up your puppy from us.

Please be very aware that some airlines require an agent to book a dog onto a flight, if an agent is used they seem to quote numbers off the top of their heads!
An agent is a boarding kennels usually that work for the airline cargo animal export division, really they do nothing except book the dog onto the flight because all the paperwork & tests have already been done by me the breeder.
This really does annoy me as majority of the pet exporters are just ripping people off, for instance to fly a dog to Finland via Finnair we must use an agent the agent asks £350-£500GBP for a one way flight, we provide the crate, the pet passport & everything else all they do is drop the dog off at the cargo centre & book the flight, a dog which we have already driven hours to deliver to them.
However if the dog is picked up in person & flys with its owner (because the owner dosen't need to use an agent) either as cargo in the hold or as excess baggage in the cabin(sitting under your seat in a crate) then the price is only £100GBP maximum!!!

There is companies which you can get in touch with that will organise flights for your new pup/dog & you can pay them via credit card if you want to go this route.
For those flying to the USA i will make the booking & charge you the costs as i have an account with American Airlines thankfully who do not charge the earth.
I have made a list below of companies who deal with exporting dogs which we have used & recommend.
